This is our first homework assignment for this season where you will address the following questions and submit your GitHub link containing either a Jupyter Notebook or a Python file

Question 1 - A factory claims their machines fill bags with exactly 200g of rice. You sample 36 bags and find a mean of 197g with a standard deviation of 12g. At α = 0.05, is there evidence the machine is underfilling?

Set up H₀ and H₁. Compute the test statistic. Make a decision.

Question 2 - Your friend says “a p-value of 0.001 means there’s a 0.1% chance the null hypothesis is true.”

Is your friend correct? Explain in your own words.
